Huh, didn't know that listening to music while playing was so popular.

I tend to listen to whatever is in the game, if they put it in it's for a reason, and if there's no music that's probably for a reason too. Some pretty cool moments I've experienced in games would have been ruined with whatever crap I'm into at the time.

I only listen to other music if the in-game music is either just there to make it seem like something is happening or if it simply sucks. :3

Plus some components of the game (Halo multiplayer for example) have no music.

I actually generally like the music that goes with the game, if I feel it fits. Halo multiplayer with Halo music playing was always quite good.

Otherwise, I don't generally listen to music while playing games. I like to enjoy their soundtrack, because it was made for the game I'm playing.

I'll occasionally crank DOTA - Basshunter while playing LoL.

That's it. I'm inviting you to a league match right nao. C'mon we're getting 2400 elo by tonight.

Listening to music while playing games... hmm. I usually do this when I dont care what my score is. All Points Bulletin is a great candidate as you get destroyed by people that pay for the game, so I just turn on my master playlist that includes all of my music:

*Warning, I am about to show you the mind shattering variety of music from artists, bands, and composers that I own.*
Spoiler: show
Nine Inch Nails
Blur
Beethoven <-- Ha, clockwork orange anyone?
Mozart
Gorillaz
Tool
The Beatles
Pendulum
Daft Punk
Failure
Year of The Rabbit
On
Pink Floyd
Rammstein
Sublime
Tenacious D
Younger Brother
Rage Against The Machine
System of a Down
Fatboy Slim
Cake
Datarock
Queens of The Stone Age
Calvin Harris
Nirvana
Foo Fighters
Apocalyptica
Mr. FijiWiji
Zynthetic
About 20 other artists not worth mentioning with about 1300 more tracks not including those artists

All accounted for as a whopping 30gb of neatly organized(on my computer in both mp3 and FLAC) music, that I can put into a playlist at the click of a button and jam out to.

One game that I really enjoy its soundtrack is Killing Floor, which is composed by Zynthetic

I love new music. But readressing my original question, I have been playing Fallout 3 lately and have gotten so very tired of the same songs on GNR so I have been playing with a lot of rock and metel.

Thanks for the new music ^_^
